About Us

20180422 123900

We are a group of local Christians whom God has called to worship in Totteridge and to pray for and support our local community.  Our focus is to bring Jesus into the community we serve and to be a church where community meets.  Our vision is to actively encourage followers of Christ to grow and live out the life and love of God relevantly in our community. We are a small but growing church with a BIG God and are excited about what he is doing in us and through us and what he has planned for our future.

We belong to the Baptist family of churches, affiliated to the Baptist Union and part of our regional association, the Central Baptist Association.  We welcome anyone to our fellowship who wants to walk with us on our adventure to serve God here.  Everyone who comes is an important member of our wider Christian family.  This family is important to us so, as well as maintaining links with other churches, we welcome people from other churches to many of our regular socials and fellowship groups.

Our mixed-age congregation meets together each Sunday at 10:30 am. We have been recognised as a singles friendly church - those without partners and those whose partners are not church attendees, We have several fellowship groups which meet during the week. These groups are where we explore our Christian faith and support each other in prayer and practical ways.  Socials and sharing food also feature largely; you are welcome to join us.

We actively support local organisations such as Wycombe Homeless Connection and One Can Trust as well as welcoming Safe Haven Dementia Centre on our site.  More details of all organisations we support can be found on Our Partners at Totteridge page and also on our Local Involvement page.

Planning your Visit

Welcome

The following information is specifically for those new to us.  We hope it gives you an idea of the kind of people we are and what to expect from us when you visit.

Who are we?

We are a Baptist Church affiliated to the Baptist Union of Great Britain and we welcome anyone to come and worship with us and be part of our community.  You don't have to be a Baptist! More information on what we believe can be found on the About Us part of the site.

How to find us

Visit our Contact Us page for details.

Accessibility

Access to our site is up a steep concrete drive or up some shallow steps, and there is flat access to our main building from the car park.  There is a disabled toilet in this main building.  We don't have pews, so can easily move chairs to accommodate space for a mobility scooter or a wheelchair next to a carer.  Please let us know in advance if you need us to reserve space for disabled parking.
