Small Groups

image: Small Groups

Small groups are really important in the life of our church.  They are where we build deep friendships, support each other in times of need and, of course, have fun together.  They give us an opportunity to explore with others what life means to us and how we bring God into that life.

Our groups consist of people from our church and also from our wider circle of family and friends.  We have people from other fellowships join us, and also some who don't attend any church.  Each group is free to explore whatever topic suits them; we don't usually follow a centralised theme.  This means each group has a different character: one might concentrate on exploring the bible and the historical times that Jesus lived in; another might be more concerned about social justice. All exist to provide support in practical ways and in prayer for its members.

Social activities are also a large part of these groups.  We may eat together, go bowling together, or walk in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside together.

We currently have two groups who meet in and around the local area. One meets on Zoom and the other meets in a home.  From time to time we also have groups for special purposes, for example to follow a theme for Lent.

If you want to know more about our small groups, please contact us.

Planning your Visit

Welcome

The following information is specifically for those new to us.  We hope it gives you an idea of the kind of people we are and what to expect from us when you visit.

Who are we?

We are a Baptist Church affiliated to the Baptist Union of Great Britain and we welcome anyone to come and worship with us and be part of our community.  You don't have to be a Baptist! More information on what we believe can be found on the About Us part of the site.

How to find us

Visit our Contact Us page for details.

Accessibility

Access to our site is up a steep concrete drive or up some shallow steps, and there is flat access to our main building from the car park.  There is a disabled toilet in this main building.  We don't have pews, so can easily move chairs to accommodate space for a mobility scooter or a wheelchair next to a carer.  Please let us know in advance if you need us to reserve space for disabled parking.
