Our address is:

Our Service

Each service usually starts with prayer and singing, which gives us time to forget about our daily worries and concentrate on God.

The service leader begins with a short opening prayer praising God, followed by 3-4 songs.  Between the songs people might also pray out loud or read a passage from the bible or share things that they believe God is saying to the whole church family. This is all part of our turning towards God and away from our daily concerns.  We then share news and notices, usually about future events and what is going on in the life of our church, our families or the community.  A speaker will give a talk that is bible-based to help us live for God in our everyday life.  We then finish with a worship song.

What about children?

We provide packs for children to complete during the service, which have a variety of activities to suit different ages.  We also have some children's bible versions, such as the Minecraft Bible, for you to borrow.  Your children can stay with you where you are sitting, or they can go to our lounge area at the back of the church.  We are happy for them to wander round during the service, provided you are keeping an eye on them, so don't worry if they don't stay in their seats.  Older children can stay in the lounge area on their own.

After the service

If you want to pray quietly, or ask someone to pray with you, you can remain at the front of the worship area.  We ask that anyone not wanting to pray goes to our lounge area where tea, coffee and biscuits are served from the kitchen hatch.  We can often stay around chatting until about 12:30, so do come and join in and get to know us.

Planning your Visit

Welcome

The following information is specifically for those new to us.  We hope it gives you an idea of the kind of people we are, and what to expect from us when you visit.

Who are we?

We are a Baptist church affiliated to the Baptist Union of Great Britain and we welcome anyone to come and worship with us and be part of our community.  More information on what we believe can be found on the About Us part of the site.

How to find us

Visit our Contact Us page for details

Accessibility: Access to our site is up a steep concrete drive, and we have a shallow ramp to access to our main building from the car park.  Our disabled toilet is also in this main building.  We don't have pews, so can easily move chairs to accommodate space for a mobility scooter or a wheelchair next to a carer.  Please let us know in advance if you need us to reserve space for disabled parking.

Our activities
